NOW HIRING: Taproom Team Lead (Part-time)

Icarus Brewing is looking for a Taproom Team Lead to join our front-of-house leadership team. Working closely with Taproom Management, this is a hands-on role that combines beertending and guest service with responsibility for leading the floor. Team Leads are the eyes and ears of the Taproom during their shifts, helping direct the team, maintain our standards, and ensure every customer touchpoint reflects the desired Icarus experience.

 

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

• 24–30 hours per week, approximately 4 shifts

• 2 weekday evening shifts and 2 weekend shifts

• Must be available nights, weekends, and occasional special events

• $28–$38/hour, including tips

• 401(k) with matching

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead by example and serve as the primary on-floor leader during their shifts

• Provide exceptional customer service and professionally resolve any customer concerns

• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS management, and end-of-day reporting

• Ensure Taproom staff follows brewery, safety, and responsible alcohol service policies

• Communicate with management regarding staffing, inventory, employee performance, operational needs, and areas for improvement

• Coach and support Beertenders on proper pouring, product knowledge, customer service, a nd operational efficiency

• Assign stations and delegate tasks

• Make staffing adjustments during the shift a needed based on service volume

• Keep an eye on the overall Taproom experience, ensuring beer, service, cleanliness, presentation, and guest-facing spaces meet Icarus standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in breweries, restaurants, and/or bars

• Strong knowledge of craft beer and Taproom/Bar operations

• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Reliable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable making decisions on the fly

• 21+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and team lift up to 160 lbs.

• ServSafe Alcohol, TIPS, or TAPS certification required
