Join Our Team as an Assistant Taproom Manager & Events Coordinator!
At Icarus Brewing Company, we’re passionate about craft beer and creating memorable experiences. We’re looking for a dedicated Assistant Taproom Manager/Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Brick, NJ. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and love crafting events that bring people together, this could be the perfect role for you! This is a Full-Time Salaried position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Taproom Manager with daily operations and serve as a point of contact in their absence.
- Cultivate and manage a robust events program at Icarus Brewing Company, including private rentals (birthdays, corporate outings, weddings) as well as public events (both onsite and offsite, ticketed and non-ticketed) to grow our events program with new and engaging offerings that resonate with our customers and highlight our products.
- Maintain the Icarus Events Calendar to coordinate scheduled events, including but not limited to: Icarus Anniversaries, Lagerfest, Canniversary, Ictoberfest, Build Me Up Butternut World Tour, Hometown Throwdown, Yule-a-Palooza, private rentals, onsite events, art galleries, live music performers, food trucks, offsite beer festivals, tap takeovers, farmers markets, and more.
- Drive innovative ideas for new events and promotional opportunities to enhance customer engagement.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive sales packet for private event rentals, outlining tiered pricing based on event type, size, and duration.
- Guide clients through every stage of event planning, offering creative suggestions and facilitating contracts and payments.
- Build strong relationships with local vendors for event collaboration (party suppliers, food and beverage, entertainment, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to advertise events through social media and assist with conducting photoshoots to best showcase our events and products.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members to align expectations and timelines with the ability to make decisions and troubleshoot issues that may arise in a professional manner.
- Uphold a strong commitment to customer service and craft beer.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A positive attitude and strong customer service skills with a passion for craft beer.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
- Previous management experience is strongly preferred, particularly in hospitality or event planning.
Requirements:
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Professional representation of the company at all times
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to self-supervise and delegate responsibilities effectively
- TIPS/ServSafe certification is required prior to the start date
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and respectful work environment
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and move kegs weighing up to 150 lbs. (assisted)
